Southern Belle when service commenced on January 1, 1933, the luxury all-Pullman, all-electric express was renamed the Brighton Belle in June 1934.
It operated daily as the flagship of Southern Railway's electrification project between London Victoria and Brighton on the Sussex coast, also occasionally handling Sunday services to destinations like Eastbourne.
The historic service was withdrawn by British Rail on April 30, 1972. Most of the cars have since been preserved or restored.
