Repairs and Fitting DCC Chips
We will provide an estimate for the required labour to complete repair to help you decide if you want to proceed. You will be emailed a draft invoice for the labour, any parts required, return shipping and applicable taxes once the repair is completed. The Draft Order includes a link for payment using a credit card.
Non- payment of repaired items:
British Model Trains Ltd. reserves the right under the Repair and Storage Liens Act (R.S.O. 1991, c.R.25.) to dispose of any items if the Draft Order remains unpaid sixty days from the date of the draft invoice unless the customer has made an alternative arrangement for payment.
Labor Rate is $60/Hour
We break labor down into 15 minute units with a minimum repair fee of $15 - we don't feel it's right to charge a full hour for 15 minutes of work so you only pay for the time required to complete the work.

Time is Valuable for You & For Us
In most cases, we will not be able to complete repairs while you wait. You will generally be asked to leave repairs with us, allowing us to perform the work to the standard you expect and we believe you deserve.
Most repairs are finished within 2 weeks, depending on parts availability and complexity of the work required.
There Are Some Brands We Can't Work On
Generally any "off brand" items you purchased at a big box retailer or in a toy store are not repairable. We will generally not accept repairs for brands that we cannot order parts for example GRAFAR OO Gauge.
