Simply sit this cleaner on the track and apply voltage to the section. Hold the locomotive on the brass brushes and watch the wheels turn. The brass brushes on the top will clean the wheels.  Multiple brushes can be cliupped together for diesels or 2-8-0 locos and larger.

I use this daily in the BMT Workshop when servicing locos - it is the best powered wheel cleaning brush I have used.  Easy to use, fast and works very well.
