THE North Eastern Region Worsdell ‘J27’ 0-6-0  headlined Oxford Rail’s new announcements for 2019.

The much requested ‘J27’ 0-6-0s were introduced by the North Eastern Railway in 1906 and 115 were built. They were designed for freight traffic and remained in service through ownership by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and British Railways (BR). The last was withdrawn in September 1967 and one, 65894, has been preserved at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway by the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group.
