300 of these wagons were built between 1952 - 1954. They were originally fitted with steam heating which was later removed.
They were used mainly by Geest Bananas & Fyffes Bananas and can be used as part of a mixed train or as a block load.
Designed to prevent premature ripening of the fruit.
BR designed their own version of the Banana Van which is the kit shown here.
