Legislation was one favourable to the operation of heave goods vehicles drawing trailers. Lorry operators took the opportunity to augment the limited load capacity on lorries of the period by drawing a trailer.

This model trailer is typical of the period, and is of a type built by Taskers of Andover, a popular maker.

It is suitable for use with our 4mm scale lorry kits or other similar makes, several trailers can be hitched together to form a 'road train' drawn by a traction engine, this model can also be adapted to represent a farm trailer or a Showman's trailer.

This kit represents a high sided body with top rails used for the carriage of goods such as clay pipes, wool bales, turnips, sugar beet and other similar light bulky loads not suitable for sheeting and roping, with the top rails left off it is suitable for coal, coke and minerals.

The kit is complete except for paint and liquid cement.
